Hungarian Plum Torte

 1 stick Margarine
 ¾ cup Sugar
 1 cup Flour
 1 tsp Baking Powder
 2 Eggs
 12 Small (Hungarian or Italian) Plums
 1 tsp Lemon Juice
Toppings
 2 tbsp Sugar
 1 tsp Cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F

Beat the margarine and sugar

Add the flour, baking powder, and eggs, and beat to mix well until the batter will be soft and spreadable

Spoon the batter into an ungreased 9-inch springform pan or 9-inch quiche dish

Arrange the plum halves or slices on the batter, cut side up

Drizzle with lemon juice

Mix the cinnamon with sugar and sprinkle it over the top

Bake for 40 Minutes to 50 Minutes, until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool; refrigerate or freeze if desired
