Using frozen fruit makes it easy to create this delicious treat!

1 cup sugar
10 oz frozen dragonfruit (pitaya)
4 oz frozen strawberries
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp fruit liquor (optional but adds lots of flavor)

Make the sugar syrup. Place sugar in a small saucepan and add 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar. Remove from flame and cool.

Place frozen fruit in a blender or food processor. Add ¾ cup of the sugar syrup, lemon juice and liquor. Blend or process until completely smooth.Â

The mixture should be a pourable consistency. If it’s too thick, add a little more syrup and blend again.

Tap the pan on the counter to settle the pops and eliminate air bubbles.

Freeze 6 hours or overnight before unmolding.
