8 Bartlett Pears
3 cups Semi-Dry White Wine
2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
2 Inch piece Ginger, peeled and sliced
3 Cinnamon Sticks

Peel pears and cut in half. Using a melon baller, scoop out seeds from pear halves. Set aside.

In a 5 or 6 quart pot, bring wine, water and sugar to a boil. Add ginger and cinnamon. Add pears and cook until tender, approximately 30 Minutes.
