Butter Sugar Cookies

Butter Cookies

1 pound butter

11/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup milk

3 eggs

6 egg yolks

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

6 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment or Silpat mats. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add milk, eggs and yolks and beat until thoroughly combined. Add vanilla, flour and baking powder and mix. Turn out dough onto a well floured surface or Silpat non-stick mat.

Roll out dough to 3/4” thickness and cut 2-3” circles using a round or fluted cutter. Bake 15 minutes or until golden at the edges. Remove from oven and cool. Store in an airtight container.
