Chocolate Roll-out Cookie

1/2 cup margarine

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg beaten

1 3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of salt

        Preheat oven to 350o.  Cream margarine and sugar.  Beat in egg.  Add flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.  Mix at low speed until a dough forms. 

        Roll out to 1/4” thickness on parchment or Silpat.  Cut 3” hearts and remove dough scraps. If using a cookie stamp or embosser,  press design firmly into cookie. 

         Bake 10- 12  minutes.  Cool cookies.
